Glassing the hull

Third coat of epoxy. It looks like it needs a bit of
sanding.
OK, now the second coat of epoxy is on. Its starting to shine a bit. It looks like
it will need some sanding :(
All done! Now I wait a couple hours and put
on the next coat.
Half finished! The first coat of epoxy won't be too shiny,
but after the 3rd it'll look nice!

Its starting to turn clear...

All the sanding is done, so the next step is to
fiberglass the outside of the hull. The fiberglass is a
cloth of glass which turns hard and clear when I put
epoxy on it.

Sanding The Hull

The sander part came today. The velcro pad that the sandpaper sticks
to was worn out. Now its ready for the fiberglass.
Maybe tomorrow if the weathers nice.

All the putty is on and once the sanding's finished,
hopefully this week, I can put the fiberglass on the hull.

I brought the kayak outside to sand it.
When I was about 3/4 the way done, the velcro
pad on my sander that holds on the sand paper
became un-velcroed. The sandpaper wont stick to it.
So while Im waiting for the new one to come,
I patched in the couple open joints with epoxy putty.

After the bow and stem pieces were glued on,
I planed down all the extra wood. Hand planing for an hour give you
blisters :D
